Euronews: Middle Corridor gains ground in Asia-Europe trade VIDEO
The Middle Corridor is emerging as an increasingly important trade link between Asia and Europe, with Azerbaijan playing a central role in the multimodal route across Central Asia, the Caspian Sea and the South Caucasus, Euronews reports.
The route connects railways, ports and other transport infrastructure, while rising cargo volumes, digital logistics and expanded port capacity are supporting its development.
Emil Mammadov, an adviser to the chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), said the corridor was becoming “more of a trade corridor” as international demand increased.
Mammadov also highlighted the growing use of digital solutions to track cargo and improve coordination along the route.
Cargo handling volumes at the Port of Baku increased by 40% in 2025, reflecting the corridor's growing role in trade between Asia and Europe.
