AZAL reports 83% seat occupancy rate in first seven months

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) recorded a seat occupancy rate of 83% in the first seven months of 2026, the airline's commercial director has said.
Jamil Manizade said the commercial load factor stood at 79% between January and July, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He attributed the result to the expansion of long-haul routes, which requires greater efficiency in the use of available capacity.
Seat occupancy on routes to Türkiye reached 84%, while the figure for the CIS was 80%. Passenger numbers on CIS routes increased by 38%.
Routes to Europe recorded a 75% occupancy rate, with passenger traffic up 7%. The rate for Asia was also 75%, while the number of passengers increased by 64%.
