Haber Global showcases key outcomes of Azerbaijan–Türkiye Investment Forum VIDEO

Turkish television channel Haber Global has released a video report covering the Second Türkiye-Azerbaijan Investment Forum currently underway in Baku, highlighting the event’s role in advancing bilateral economic cooperation.

The forum brought together senior government officials and high-ranking representatives from Azerbaijan and Türkiye, underscoring the strategic importance both countries attach to deepening their economic partnership, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Turkish Vice President, Cevdet Yılmaz, delivered key remarks at the forum, which is focused on strengthening investment cooperation and promoting joint projects between the two countries. In his address, Yılmaz emphasized the growing strategic relevance of the Middle Corridor, an initiative aimed at reviving the historic Silk Road.

“Since the onset of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, the attractiveness and utilization potential of the Middle Corridor have increased significantly. In this context, our relations with Azerbaijan—one of the most important pillars of the Middle Corridor—have gained even greater strategic importance. The opening of the Zangazur Corridor will further enhance the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor,” Yılmaz said.

Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat noted that bilateral trade turnover between Türkiye and Azerbaijan has grown substantially, rising from $2.6 billion in 2016 to $8 billion.

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov, in turn, highlighted the scale of mutual investments, stating that Azerbaijan has invested more than $20 billion in Türkiye’s economy, while Turkish investments in Azerbaijan have reached $18 billion.

The report concludes that a practical outcome of the forum was the signing of two major contracts between representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish business communities, reflecting the tangible progress achieved through the event.
