Türkiye eyes joint brands with Azerbaijan to boost global trade
Türkiye is seeking to deepen economic ties with Azerbaijan through the development of joint brands and their export to third countries, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat has said.
In an interview with Report, Bolat emphasised that cooperation in this area is aimed at transforming bilateral economic relations from traditional trade towards a partnership based on production and technology capable of competing globally.
“This approach opens up significant opportunities to combine Türkiye’s advanced industrial and manufacturing potential with Azerbaijan’s energy resources and strategic geographic position,” Bolat said.
He added that the collaboration allows both countries to integrate capital, technology, and expertise into a single value chain. Bolat cited military cooperation following Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh as an example, noting that jointly produced defence industry products have gained recognition in third countries as “reliable and high-tech” brands.
“This is an important factor in strengthening the positions of both Türkiye and Azerbaijan within the global value chain,” he said.
