Azerbaijan to import clothing from Kyrgyzstan
Azerbaijan is set to begin importing textiles from Kyrgyzstan, in a move aimed at boosting trade ties between the two countries.
According to the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Samad Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s trade representative for Central Asian countries, recently made a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, Caliber.Az reports.
During the trip, Hasanov visited the KG TEX garment factory, where he was shown the company’s production facilities and working conditions. Officials at the factory indicated plans to supply their products to the Azerbaijani market, a step expected to strengthen economic relations and increase bilateral trade.
The Azerbaijani trade representative also held meetings with the leadership of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
“The discussions focused on the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as prospects for increasing mutual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan,” the fund said.
