Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has participated in the 95th Annual General Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland, where global central bankers and financial leaders convened to address international economic challenges and foster cooperation.
Kazimov held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event with several central bank governors, Caliber.Az reports, citing CBA.
These discussions focused on potential areas for future collaboration between central banks, as well as regional economic developments.
"The meetings underscored the importance of sharing expertise and strengthening ties between financial institutions to support the sustainable development of the global financial system," the CBA said.
The BIS annual meeting also served as a platform for high-level dialogue on key issues including global financial stability, innovation in the financial sector, digital security, and monetary policy.
