Ukrainian air defenсe downs 10 cruise missiles, 23 "Shahed" UAVs

AFU air force destroyed 10 cruise missiles and 23 "Shahed" UAVs during today's nighttime enemy attack by Russian forces on Ukraine.

The night attack lasted from 22:00 on May 25 until 5:00 on May 26, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Air Force of the AFU.

This time, the Russian forces shifted the direction of the strike to the east, attacking critical infrastructure and facilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

A total of 17 missiles of various types and 31 strike UAVs were recorded:

- 10 X-101/x-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95ms aircraft from the Caspian Sea area;
- 7 S-300/C-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Tokmak area (temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region)
- 31 Iranian-made "Shahed-136/131" strike drones to the south and north.

The Air Force forces, in co-operation with other elements of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, in the areas of responsibility of Air Commands East, Centre, and South, destroyed:

- all 10 air-launched cruise missiles;
- 23 "Shahed" UAVs;
- two operational-tactical drones Orlan-10 and Merlin-BP.

At the same time, strike drones and several S-300/C-400 antiaircraft missiles hit the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
