Cavusoglu: It was not easy for Armenia to give back lands they occupied for 30 years

Türkiye supports the normalisation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and stands for the early signing of a peace treaty between them, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on NTV.

"We have always supported this process. This process is not easy for Armenia either. It was not easy for them to give back the lands they had occupied for 30 years. The recognition of territorial integrity is important for lasting peace. Signing a comprehensive peace agreement would be helpful. Developments also affect Turkish-Armenian relations. Every positive step will contribute to Türkiye-Armenia relations in a positive way," the minister said.
