Turkish MoD hails Azerbaijan’s efforts to establish durable regional peace

The Turkish Defence Ministry Spokesman Zeki Akturk has said Türkiye supports the steps taken by Azerbaijan to protect its territorial integrity, as well as sincere efforts to establish long-term peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"We are closely following the anti-terrorist activities undertaken [by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces] in the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, Garabagh, to put an end to the constant attacks and provocations by illegal Armenian armed formations,” Akturk said addressing the weekly briefing,Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry’s page on social network X.

Akturk said they are also following the ceasefire decision and the latest developments in the region.

"We emphasise once again that Türkiye will continue to support the just demands of our Azerbaijani brothers with whom we are united in sorrow and joy based on the principle of 'One Nation, Two States'," the spokesman said.
