Thousands of NATO soldiers gather for military drills in Poland Dragon-24 takes flight

The Dragon-24 military exercise, which is part of NATO's Steadfast Defender-24 military manoeuvres, is starting in Poland.

Poland will organise its national Dragon-24 exercise as part of the NATO manoeuvres, PAP report.

In addition to the Polish military, soldiers from Spain, the UK, Türkiye and Albania will participate. In total, about 20,000 soldiers and 3,500 units of equipment from 10 NATO countries will be involved.

"They will be tested on cooperation and fulfilment of combat tasks on land, in the air and at sea. In addition to military operations in the above spheres, combat operations will also be conducted in cyberspace," the general command said.

Exercise Dragon-24 will test the ability of the Polish Armed Forces to respond to a potential multidimensional crisis of an armed nature.

As noted, the main forces of the Polish Army to participate in the exercise will be 11 Lubusz Armoured Cavalry Division, soldiers of the Special Forces, Air Force, Navy and Territorial Defence.
