Russian FM remains vague on reasons for ambassador's recall from Armenia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov provided limited information on the reasons behind the recall of Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin from Yerevan.

When questioned by Interfax, Lavrov stated, "Ambassadors periodically come for consultations."

Lavrov was also asked if the Armenian ambassador would be advised to travel from Moscow to Yerevan for similar consultations. He responded, "Everything has been announced. Counselors are coming, first secretaries, attachés."

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service confirmed that Kopyrkin was summoned to Moscow for consultations. The Armenian Foreign Ministry has not commented on the recall decision.
