Armenian general highlights defence sector transformation at NATO meeting

Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Maj-Gen Artur Yeroyan, took part in the NATO Military Committee meeting in the format of Chiefs of General Staff via video link on June 11.

"In his speech, Major General Yeroyan stressed the importance of cooperation with NATO in the transformation of Armenia's defence sector and reaffirmed the commitment to continue participation in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of NATO," TASS reports, citing the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry.

The press service noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss topical international and regional issues, as well as cooperation between NATO and partner states.
