4.9 magnitude earthquake strikes Türkiye's Hatay province

An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 was registered in the Turkish province of Hatay.

According to the department, tremors were recorded in the border region of Türkiye and Syria. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 5 km and was located 73 kilometers from the Syrian Latakia and 9 km south of the Turkish Antakya, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
