US troops to land in Armenia for joint peacekeeping drills
American infantry and National Guard troops are set to arrive in Armenia to take part in joint military drills aimed at preparing for international peacekeeping missions.
According to Armenian media reports citing the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, the “EAGLE PARTNER 2025” exercises will be conducted from August 12 to 20 across Armenian territory.
The training will bring together personnel from Armenia’s peacekeeping brigade, along with troops from the United States Army in Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard.
The program will focus on peacekeeping operations, particularly on medical evacuation procedures, as part of the overall training agenda.
The goal of the exercises is to enhance interoperability among the participating units involved in international peacekeeping efforts.
The drills will also facilitate the exchange of best practices in command, tactical communications, and coordination, while boosting the operational readiness of Armenia’s peacekeeping unit.
According to the Ministry, such joint exercises form a regular part of the preparation process for peacekeeping deployments, with Armenian units routinely engaging in similar training activities in partner countries.
