Putin, Pashinyan to discuss Armenia’s EU referendum in Bishkek – Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss Armenia’s upcoming referendum on joining the European Union with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during their scheduled meeting in Bishkek, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“The Armenians themselves will decide their own fate. And we are actually proposing that they do so by holding a referendum,” the spokesperson noted, according to Russian media.

Peskov added that Putin would use the meeting to present Russia’s arguments on the issue.
