Mecca Pact enters new phase as first committee meeting begins in Türkiye

The first meeting of the political and defence committee of the Mecca Pact has begun in Istanbul, Türkiye, marking a new phase.

The meeting is attended by the foreign and defence ministers, as well as the chiefs of staff of Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

Key international security issues, the development of defence capabilities and improving the interoperability of the three countries’ armed forces are expected to be discussed.

The agenda also includes deepening cooperation in the defence industry, including joint development and production, as well as coordinating efforts to combat terrorism.
