31 August 2026 12:58
Georgia ranked second in the number of foreigners deported from Poland, according to Poland’s Ministry of Interior.
Around 10,000 foreigners were deported from the country in the first half of 2026. Ukrainian citizens accounted for the largest share, followed by Georgian nationals, while citizens of Belarus, Moldova and Colombia ranked next, Caliber.Az reports via Sputnik Georgia.
Between January and June, the number of work visas issued to foreigners in Poland nearly halved compared with the previous year, falling to 69,000.
Poland had also previously tightened entry rules for Georgian citizens seeking employment in the country.
