Abu Dhabi denies Iranian strike on US base in UAE VIDEO / UPDATED

The UAE Ministry of Defence has denied media reports that Al-Minhad Air Base was targeted in a missile attack, saying the reports are unfounded.

The ministry stressed that the UAE Armed Forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threats and protect the country’s sovereignty, security and stability.

The Ministry of Defence urged the public to rely on official sources for information and refrain from spreading rumours or unverified reports.

Earlier, the ministry reported that the country’s Air Force responded to a drone detected over the UAE’s territorial waters and approaching from the direction of Iran.

The Iranian military has announced that it launched a strike with dozens of attack drones against Al Minhad base in the United Arab Emirates, where US military personnel and helicopters are stationed.

The military’s press service said the attack was carried out in response to recent actions against Iran and the deaths of IRGC personnel and civilians on Larak Island.

According to the Iranian side, Al Minhad base is one of the key hubs for supporting and deploying foreign forces.
