Russia intercepts 61 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions
Russia’s air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 61 Ukrainian drones overnight in a large-scale aerial assault across several regions, the country’s Defence Ministry said.
According to a statement released by the ministry, the drones were neutralised between 11 p.m. Moscow time on August 3 and 5:20 a.m. on August 4, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The Russian Defence Ministry said that eighteen drones were intercepted over the Black Sea, twelve over the Voronezh region, eleven over the Crimean Peninsula, eight over the Belgorod region, six over the Volgograd region, two each over the Bryansk and Rostov regions, and one drone each over the Moscow and Ryazan regions.
The ministry identified the drones as "aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles" but did not report any casualties or damage resulting from the attempted strikes.
