Accidental shooting at Armenian ministry leaves security guard injured

An accidental gunshot occurred at Armenia’s Ministry of Economy when a security guard discharged his firearm unintentionally, authorities confirmed.

The 21-year-old guard sustained a gunshot wound to his left lower leg and was hospitalized, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Officials describe his condition as stable. The police were notified of the incident at 16:56 local time.

Details surrounding the event remain under investigation, including whether the shot was self-inflicted or involved another individual.
