Al Araby TV office hit by gunfire in Iran

The TV channel Al Araby has reported that its Tehran office in Iran came under gunfire, the broadcaster said on its official website.

The channel condemned the attack, describing the shelling as a violation of international law and emphasizing that the safety of journalists was put at risk.

Correspondent Hazem Kallas stated that the strike happened at 14:45 local time, during a live broadcast.

The journalist noted that emergency teams from the Iranian Red Crescent Society and local civil defence units arrived within minutes to respond.

Kallas added that although parts of the building remain intact, the overall structure could collapse, rendering it unsafe for future use.
