Ambassador: Azerbaijan, Costa Rica express interest in strengthening bilateral ties
Non-resident Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Costa Rica (residing in Mexico) Mammad Talibov and President of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chaves have expressed an interest in developing bilateral relations.
“Both Baku and San José expressed a keen interest in further strengthening their bilateral relations,” Talibov wrote in social media, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"It was an honour for me to engage in dialogue with President of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chaves. I conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. I also expressed gratitude for Costa Rica's active participation in COP29. Furthermore, I highlighted our mutual interest in developing bilateral relations, particularly in economy and trade," Talibov wrote.
Earlier, a leading Colombian news website, Las2orillas, published an article titled "Azerbaijan Donates $100,000 for the Protection of Colombian Paramos."
The publication highlights that, despite Azerbaijan's distance from Colombia, the country's solidarity and friendship know no borders and extend all the way to the peaks of the Andes.
The article underscores Azerbaijan's global reputation for its progressive efforts for the future of humanity.
The article further details the official presentation of the humanitarian aid, during which Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Colombia, Mammad Talibov, visited the city of Duitama. He was deeply impressed by the rich fauna and flora of the paramos.
Ambassador Talibov emphasised the need for enhanced global efforts to protect the environment and preserve biodiversity, expressing confidence that Azerbaijani-Colombian relations will continue to thrive.
