Ambassador: Iranian president’s visit to Armenia set for this summer
Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani has confirmed that plans are underway to arrange a visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Armenia, with the trip potentially taking place before the end of summer.
Sobhani made these remarks during a press conference, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Despite ongoing regional tensions, the ambassador highlighted that preparation is progressing steadily. He noted ongoing consultations with Armenian Foreign Ministry’s officials and other relevant bodies to coordinate the visit.
“We have exchanged lists of documents intended for signing during the president’s visit and are finalizing the itinerary and programme,” Sobhani said. “If circumstances permit, the visit will happen this summer. Whether there is war or not, life goes on.”
