Ankara says Gaza conflict can be resolved through joint efforts

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that the resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is possible through the joint efforts of the international community.

The statement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the occasion of Human Rights Day celebrated in the world on December 10, according to Report.

"The ongoing inhumane attacks in Gaza are a huge blow not only to the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people but also to the common values of all humanity. The failure to stop this drama so far speaks to the weakness of the international system. It is the common responsibility of all countries, in order not to carry this shame into the future, to take joint action to stop the massacre of civilians in Gaza and ensure a lasting peace," the document said.

Fidan assured that Türkiye will cooperate "with all members of the international community who value human dignity, have conscience and morality" in resolving the conflict.

He reiterated Ankara's position on the need to solve the Palestinian problem based on the establishment of an independent State of Palestine within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
