NATO–Georgia 2025 drills wrap up with strong show of unity and readiness
The NATO–Georgia 2025 command-and-staff exercises have concluded at the NATO–Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC), according to an announcement by the Georgian Ministry of Defence.
This year’s drills included not only staff-level simulations but also a field component, offering a more comprehensive demonstration of JTEC’s capabilities in operational command, control, and coordination, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
The exercises incorporated six key areas defined by the Substantial NATO–Georgia Package (SNGP), including operations at the Joint Training and Evaluation Centre, military engineering, military police, development of military medicine, special operations forces, and efforts in standardisation and codification. These components aimed to enhance Georgia’s defence readiness while further aligning it with NATO’s operational frameworks.
Organised in cooperation with NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and the General Staff of the Georgian Defence Forces, the exercises followed NATO-standard scenarios and adhered strictly to established doctrines and procedures. The Ministry stressed that the event underscored Georgia’s ongoing commitment to deepening defence cooperation with NATO.
Seventeen countries, including both NATO members and partners, took part in the multinational drills, alongside several international organisations and military units. The conclusion of the NATO–Georgia 2025 exercise marked another step in strengthening Georgia’s role in regional security and its strategic partnership with the alliance.
