Drone strike hits DNS, Ozon logistics facilities in Russia’s Rostov region PHOTO / VIDEO

A drone attack on Russia’s Rostov region overnight damaged an Ozon logistics facility in Aksay, while a nearby DNS warehouse was reportedly targeted, according to the companies and an open-source analysis by ASTRA.

Social media users reported that a DNS warehouse in Aksay had caught fire during the attack. ASTRA’s OSINT analyst reviewed available footage and other material and concluded that smoke visible in the area could have been rising from the DNS facility at 180, Building 3, Novocherkasskoye Highway.

An Ozon logistics facility is located nearby at 180B, Building 1, on the same highway. Ozon confirmed that its facility was struck by a drone.

“One of our logistics facilities in the Rostov region came under a drone attack tonight. We evacuated all employees in advance. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. A small fire broke out, but it was extinguished immediately. We have temporarily suspended operations at the facility so that emergency services can inspect the site and make sure it is completely safe to be there. For now, we are not accepting seller deliveries there, while those already in transit are being redirected to other facilities,” the company said.

Ozon added that employees were also evacuated from a second logistics centre “in the area,” although there was no reported impact on that facility. Operations there were nevertheless suspended “for security reasons,” and seller deliveries are not currently being accepted.
