Türkiye decries Houthi strikes on Saudi territory as threat to stability
Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry has condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian territory, describing such actions as unacceptable.
In a statement, the ministry said the attacks violate the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
On July 13, Yemen’s Defence Ministry reported carrying out a strike on the runway of Sanaa International Airport in an effort to prevent the landing of an Iranian aircraft.
In response, the Houthis announced the end of the de-escalation phase and launched ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition later announced that the missiles had been intercepted over the kingdom’s southern regions.
