Ankara to host meeting to discuss anti-terror operation in Syria
The Turkish government officials will assess the Pence Kılıç (Claw-Sword) air operation and a possible ground operation in northern Syria against the terrorist organization PKK/YPQ at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The international agenda is expected to include the implementation of the grain deal in light of plans to supply grain to poor countries and energy projects, TRT Haber reports, citing local government sources.
In addition, the domestic agenda is to include the fight against inflation and the introduction of several government bills in parliament, including the freedom for women to wear the hijab.
Following the government meeting, Erdogan will deliver his traditional televised address to the nation, outlining the decisions taken at the meeting.
