Ankara urges full adherence to Israel-Iran ceasefire
Ankara has welcomed reports of an agreement on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement released on June 24.
The ministry stressed that Türkiye is closely monitoring claims of ceasefire violations and urged all sides to fully comply with the truce during this critical period, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
At a time when the Middle East needs peace and stability more than ever, it is essential to take determined steps toward a comprehensive and lasting solution, the statement said.
The ministry also underscored the importance of maintaining channels of dialogue and diplomacy, describing them as “vital” in achieving long-term regional peace.
Highlighting the broader context of the conflict, the statement emphasised that the recent escalation once again demonstrates the urgent need to resolve the Palestinian issue, which lies at the heart of many of the region’s problems.
Türkiye reiterated its readiness to provide constructive support to all efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in the Middle East.
