Antalya–Gaziantep plane loses wheels, passengers evacuated safely

A SunExpress aircraft on the Antalya–Gaziantep route suffered a serious mechanical failure during takeoff when its landing gear detached, forcing the plane to come to rest on its engine, NTV reports.

Authorities report that all passengers were swiftly evacuated from the aircraft and escorted to the terminal’s waiting area as a precautionary measure.

Emergency response teams were on standby, but no injuries have been reported among the passengers or crew.

The airline has not yet provided details on the cause of the landing gear failure or potential disruptions to subsequent flights.
