Apple increasing salaries due to rising inflation
Apple Inc. has announced that it will raise the wages of its office workers, as well as store workers.
In particular, the minimum wage for employees of Apple retail stores will reach $22 per hour compared to the previous wage worth $20 and has increased by 45 per cent since 2018, the US media reports with reference to a letter that Apple sent to employees.
The exact salaries were not disclosed. Some measures, including an increase in the minimum wage and the salaries of Apple employees abroad, were planned to be taken long ago. In general, the increase in wages should mitigate the impact of inflation.
The experts noted that Apple is also responding to the difficult situation in the labour market, when many companies face a shortage of employees and compete for them. Previously, salary increase and other bonuses for employees were announced by Google, Amazon and Microsoft.
