Israeli airstrikes kill IRGC general, head of Iran’s “Khatam al-Anbiya” command
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the killing of Ali Shadmani, a senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), during overnight airstrikes.
General Shadmani, who served as the Chief of Staff of Iran's central military command "Khatam al-Anbiya," was eliminated in a targeted strike, Caliber.Az reports, citing an IDF statement.
The IDF described the operation as part of its ongoing efforts to dismantle regional threats amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Shadmani previously held senior positions within the IRGC and oversaw logistics operations during wartime. He was appointed to lead the “Khatam al-Anbiya” command after the death of General Gholam Ali Rashid, receiving a promotion to the rank of major general.
