Israeli strikes hit oil refinery in Tabriz as tensions escalate

A new wave of Israeli airstrikes struck the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz on June 14, escalating the ongoing confrontation between the two countries.

Iranian state media confirmed that the attack targeted the area around the Tabriz oil refinery. Eyewitnesses and local sources described thick plumes of smoke billowing from the site shortly after the strike, though the full extent of the damage remains unclear.

Elsewhere in Iran, the intensifying conflict claimed more lives. Iranian outlets reported that two people were killed in a separate Israeli strike on a missile facility in Asadabad, a city in the western part of the country.
