Media: Apple to unveil iOS 19 at WWDC 2025 amid major software redesign
Apple has officially set the date for its highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will take place from June 9 to June 13 at Apple Park.
Among the key highlights expected at the event is the unveiling of iOS 19, which is rumored to introduce a major design overhaul alongside new AI-driven features, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
According to reports, Apple is planning significant visual updates across its software ecosystem, including iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, aimed at creating a more consistent user experience. This redesign is expected to introduce refreshed icons, updated menus, and streamlined interface elements, marking one of the most substantial changes in years.
While Apple has not officially detailed the features of iOS 19, speculation suggests deeper AI integration, an improved Siri experience, and potential enhancements to Priority Notifications—a feature that is expected to debut in iOS 18.4. The company has faced delays in rolling out its AI-powered Siri upgrades, but WWDC 2025 could provide a clearer roadmap for their implementation.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple’s AI strategy was undergoing restructuring, with Vision Pro leader Mike Rockwell taking over development efforts. This shift raises expectations that iOS 19 could lay the foundation for a more advanced, context-aware Siri, even if its full capabilities don’t materialize until later iOS versions.
In addition to software updates, Apple often uses WWDC to introduce new hardware. While the company has already released updated iPad Air, MacBook Air, and Mac Studio models in 2025, industry insiders suggest that WWDC could bring announcements on a refreshed Mac Pro and second-generation AirTags.
