Araghchi: Iran must receive clear guarantees from US

Iran must receive clear guarantees from the United States in order to conclude a ceasefire agreement; otherwise, a truce would be meaningless.

According to Tasnim News Agency, this view was expressed by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

“It is necessary for the United States to learn a lesson from this conflict and never again contemplate attacks on our country. A ceasefire without guarantees means entering a vicious cycle of endless war, and we want it to end — but on our terms,” the minister stressed.

Araghchi added that although foreign ministers from regional countries had contacted Tehran to discuss a ceasefire, “no negotiations have taken place so far.”
