Iran throws down gauntlet, warns Israel of crushing response to any attack

Any threats directed at the Iranian people or the country’s leadership would be met with an “immediate and powerful” response, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned.

Araghchi made the remarks in a post on X while commenting on statements by Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz regarding Israel’s readiness to launch a new operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“The terms of the Islamabad MoU are crystal clear and public for all to see. <...> Any threat against our People and Leadership will receive Immediate Powerful Response,” Araghchi wrote.
