Armed militants open fire on IRGC-linked checkpoint in southeast Iran

An armed assault was carried out on a checkpoint in Iran’s southeastern Kerman province, targeting personnel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to the Fars news agency, which cited the IRGC, armed militants opened fire on the checkpoint, resulting in the death of one police officer.

However, Baluchi Telegram channels provided a different account, claiming that the attack killed three law enforcement officers as well as one civilian.
