Armenia among top ten angriest countries, Gallup report finds
Armenia has been ranked among the top ten countries with the highest levels of anger, according to the Gallup report “State of the World's Emotional Health 2025: Connecting Global Peace, Well-Being and Health,” Caliber.Az reports.
The study, which analyses data for 2024, notes: "Anger levels were highest in Chad, Jordan, Armenia, Northern Cyprus, Sierra Leone, and Iraq — countries and regions experiencing active conflicts, recent wars, or ongoing political and economic instability."
Based on over 145,000 Gallup World Poll surveys across 144 countries and regions, this report is the first to examine the link between emotions, peace, and health. Published in collaboration with the World Health Summit, the analysis highlights a strong connection between negative emotions and the state of peace in societies.
Gallup’s findings underscore the interdependence of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). The absence of peace undermines health systems and weakens communities, making daily life more challenging and insecure. Conversely, societies with peace provide a better environment for health and emotional well-being to flourish.
The report also suggests that monitoring emotions can serve as vital indicators of societal health and stability, offering leaders insights to identify risks and develop policies that simultaneously strengthen peace and public health.
