Armenia announces key appointments in leadership of armed forces
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed decrees for new appointments in the country’s armed forces.
The decrees were signed following the recommendations of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Colonel Levon Davidyan has been appointed Commander of the Special Forces. Major General Alexander Tsakanyan has assumed the position of First Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff. Colonel Simon Nazaryan now leads the 3rd Army Corps, while Colonel Gagik Poghosyan has been named Commander of the 5th Army Corps.
Additionally, Major General Albert Baghdadyan has been entrusted with leading the National Research University under the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
