Armenia appoints defence attaché to EU, Belgium

Armenia has appointed Vardan Hovakimyan as its defence attaché to the European Union and Belgium.

The appointment was made by a decree of the Prime Minister, with Ovakimyan set to serve in the role until August 2027, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

Hovakimyan already serves as Armenia’s military attaché to NATO.

Earlier, Armenia also named a military attaché to France, with Artur Aznavuryan taking up the post.
