Armenia appoints new head of National Security Service's border troops

Garik Muradyan has been appointed as the new commander of the Border Troops of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS).
The corresponding decree was signed by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
According to the document, the appointment was made upon the proposal of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Muradyan replaces Edgar Unanyan, who was dismissed from the post of commander of the NSS Border Troops in September 2025.
