Armenia arrests three revenue committee employees in corruption probe

A court in Armenia has ordered the arrest of three employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), following their detention a day earlier, the country’s Anti-Corruption Committee said. 

According to the Committee, a total of five individuals were detained as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into alleged collective abuse of office. Arrest warrants were issued for four of the five suspects, including the three SRC employees, and all warrants were approved by the court, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media. 

The Anti-Corruption Committee did not identify the suspects or provide additional details, citing the interests of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have not disclosed whether further arrests are expected.
