Armenia-China trade volume hits record $1.2 billion in early 2024
Trade volume between Armenia and China surpassed $1.2 billion in the first five months of 2024, according to Chen Ming, the Chinese Charge d'affaires in Armenia.
Speaking at a media reception at the Chinese embassy, Chen highlighted the significant 54% year-over-year increase, marking a historic record in bilateral trade.
“In the first five months of this year, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded $1.2 billion, increasing 54% year-over-year and recording a historical record,” Chen stated, as reported by Caliber.Az via foreign media.
Chen also noted the progress in cooperative projects such as the North-South corridor and power plant modernization. Additionally, he announced that flights from China to Armenia will commence in September, further strengthening bilateral relations.
