Armenia declines to comment on situation on border with Azerbaijan
Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Armen Sargsyan has declined to answer journalists' questions about the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
He advised to follow the official information, and not try to find out something from the deputy minister, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
At the same time, he assured that the ministry had no intention of hiding anything. He explained with a delay instances in which the ministry shared information after numerous publications in the media.
"Nonetheless, Sargsyan finally made a remarkable statement: Because the border has changed, shots may be heard in other places, according to the deputy minister. It is unknown what Armen Sargsyan meant, but it clearly contradicts the stated expectations of normalisation of relations with neighbours," the Armenian media write.
