Armenia election sees brief panic over false bomb warnings

Armenian citizens received calls and messages from foreign phone numbers and email addresses containing false information about alleged bombs placed at several polling stations.

According to Armenian media, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia stated that the reports were received during the parliamentary elections taking place in the country today.

Following checks by law enforcement authorities, it was established that the information was untrue and constituted false reports.
