Armenia, EU discuss unblocking regional links

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, to discuss the unblocking of communications in the region.

Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, also attended the meeting, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The sides discussed regional developments, touched upon the prospects and importance of unblocking communications in the South Caucasus, and underlined the need to continue the border demarcation process.

The talks build on Armenia's post-2023 pivot toward the EU, amid stalled Russian mediation on resolving the now-gone Karabakh conflict and U.S.-brokered agreements of August 8, 2025.
