Armenia extends summer conscription deadline to mid-August
The Armenian government has extended the country’s 2025 summer military conscription period until August 15, according to local media reports.
The decision was made to allow additional time to complete medical examinations for individuals eligible for compulsory service, officials said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Armenia conducts military conscription twice a year, typically in summer and winter, requiring all able-bodied male citizens aged 18 to 27 to serve in the armed forces for a fixed period.
The process involves medical examinations to assess the physical and mental fitness of draftees.
Delays in administrative procedures or incomplete health assessments can lead to extensions of the draft period, as seen in previous years.
