Armenia eyes to increase defence spending

Armenia's defence spending will be increased by 7.3 per cent in 2024.

Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan made the announcement at a Cabinet session of the government, as he presented the draft of Armenia’s 2024 state budget.

Some 555 billion drams (about $1.5 billion) will be allocated for defence, which is 37.7 billion drams ($97.4 million) more than in 2023, Armenpress reports.
