Armenia eyes to open diplomatic office in Cyprus
Armenian Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus Tigran Mkrtchyan has said that Armenia intends to open a diplomatic office in Cyprus next year.
“We hope that as a response, the Cypriot authorities would open a diplomatic office in Armenia,” Mkrtchyan said in an interview with the Cypriot Broadcasting Corporation, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.
During the interview, the ambassador also touched upon the topic of Cyprus-Armenia-Greece trilateral cooperation.
He noted that several meetings have already been held in this format, the purpose of which is to develop partnerships in the military and political sphere.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that very important and specific agreements had been reached within the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral memorandum.
