Armenia faces shortage of construction workers, PM says
03 June 2026 14:44
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the country is experiencing a shortage of workers in the construction sector and said construction workers can find employment within Armenia, according to TASS.
During an election campaign event in the Gegharkunik region, he noted that in 2022, when the situation with Ukraine began, the biggest concern was that people would not be able to travel abroad for work, and Armenia planned to do the following: increase the volume of capital construction so that there would be more construction work.
“Numerous companies that used to lay asphalt in other countries are now doing it in Armenia. Today, Armenia is facing a shortage of construction workers,” he added.
